Having this pizza makes me feel I'm having the best of both worlds. Pesto pasta and pizza? Absolutely a great 2-in-1 combo. It is one of Amici's new and special pizzas on the menu, Chicken Pesto Pizza. They didn't use tomato sauce as the base (obviously), but instead they used oil and, the main flavour, pesto. Their pesto paste was also mixed together with béchamel (also known as white sauce). As you can see in the photo, the pizza looks green all over because of the paste and it looks really pesto-licious! Most of the pesto pasta dishes use chicken as their meat, and so did this pizza! Just to give you that Chicken Pesto pasta feeling, too.
Amici's Chicken Pesto Pizza is 12 inches in diameter and sliced into 8. Most pizzas only serve basil leaves (main ingredient for pesto paste) as toppings, but this pizza made a 360 degree turn with it. Definitely a different taste of pizza!
